Leavitt. Mangino. Meyer. Leach. The trend is clear. College football head coaches are making weird, unstable decisions. It's the zeitgeist. And you don't question the zeitgeist. You give in to it. You prepare for it. So rather than hope that the worst is behind us, we have to assume it's just getting started. So let's take odds on who's next...
Ralph Friedgen (35:1) - Big guy. Under pressure. Job on the line. You might as well write the story now...
Jim Tressel (20:1) - You know who also wore a lot of sweater vests? Tiger Woods.
Pete Carroll (15:1) - Charlie Weis has to have another press conference sooner or later and when he does, he'll be sure to drop some "off the record" bon mots about Pete's latest nefarious misdeeds.
Bobby Petrino (5:1) - Whatever it is he does, he'll be out the door coaching Texas Tech or Florida by the time it comes out anyway.
Lane Kiffin (3:1) - He committed seven violations while you were reading this.
Bill Stewart (2:1) - Look into those eyes. I mean, really stare. Demon spheres.
