It’s hard to imagine now, but there was a time when Tracy McGrady’s $23 million salary didn’t seem that ridiculous. These days, T-Mac and Jermaine O’Neal are in a dead heat to see who can be the bigger cautioLoonary tale in the era of max-contracts.
But it wasn’t always like that. Before things devolved to the current state of disrepair in Houston, Tracy McGrady was one of the two or three most electrifying players on the planet, raining threes and gliding to emphatic dunks. He was the total package, and his sleepy eyes just made it that much better.
Anyway, if you’re in the mood to get sentimental, Hardwood Paroxysm will oblige—they’ve got a terrific tribute to McGrady’s prime, and if you have the time, it’s definitely worth checking out. If not, at least watch this video:
UPDATE: And our Rockets blog, The Dream Shake, has some great stuff, as well.

Check out this piece from one of The Dream Shake’s staff writers. Fantastic work, if you ask me.
