Here’s the rule for not getting a ticket on the highway: Take whatever the speed limit is, add 12, set your cruise control right there. Unless the speed limit is 70, in which case set the cruise on 80 — over 80 is reckless in many states.
Except in Minnesota, apparently, where Adrian Peterson got a simple speeding ticket for traveling 54 MPH over the limit. In other words, he nearly doubled the 55 MPH speed at which the government recommends one travel.
Peterson called it a “little speeding ticket” and said he’d be more careful when operating a motor vehicle in the future. Which is all fine and dandy, but what is his plan for cutting down on the number of fumbles he keeps coughing up? START PLAYING LIKE A NO. 1 OVERALL FANTASY PICK AGAIN, AD.
Oh, and slow down on the roads. It’s dangerous, man.

If I did that here in California
I would have been tased and beaten to a pulp by some overly vigerous CHP.
Not to mention the year long prison sentence I’d get!
The NFL should punish him further – after all, what kind of image is he portraying for the NFL to the young children? :P
