There are some really cool perks to being a writer. First, you get to write in really cool, small notebooks. Second, some writers use recorders to capture quotes. Those are spiffy. But there isn't a better perk than skating in an ice rink in the middle of Fenway freakin' Park.

That's just awesome.

Travis from SB Nation's Broad Street Hockey did just that Wednesday in the "media skate" before Friday's Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers. Yes, it was a skating session specifically for the media and a few Bruins and Flyers legends.
