Is This Adam James Trapped in the Closet?

An interesting video popped up tonight (Wednesday, for those of you reading this Thursday morning) on YouTube, which appears to portray Adam James in an electrical closet just off the media room at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The image above is of James at practice (left, AP) and someone who is allegedly James in the closet. Watch the video after the jump.

A video like this that appears after the fact should be subject to some healthy skepticism.

1. Is it Adam James? Certainly appears that the person in question on the right has the same (or similar) headband, similar hair, etc. I think most people would grant that it's James, no?

2. Who posted this video? A user named spaethcom8181, who isn't accepting messages and had already disabled comments on this video. If you're trying to read between the lines, know this: No one named "Spaeth" is on the Texas Tech roster. There is no No. 81. Spaeth.com isn't a functional URL, but Spaethcom.com is the URL for a PR firm. Did the James family go out and find a PR firm to handle this thing? Given that Leach was already bounced, that seems a little redundant.

3. Where was this room on the infamous tour? If you didn't see this post earlier on Wednesday, give it a watch. Mike Leach's attorney (and burgeoning cult icon) Ted Liggett gave a tour of the places James was alleged to have been confined. At no point did we see this small room with electrical switches that was poorly lit. The video description says this is a room attached to the media room showcased in the tour.

4. When was this video taken? According to the description, Dec. 19. But again, why is this coming out now, after the James family has basically already won and Leach has been ousted?

The video, which appears to have been taken on an iPhone given the file type (.mov) and the orientation (an iPhone being held vertically), is curious to say the least. After watching it a few times, I'm really left to wonder what was gained by posting it now, about 12 hours after Leach was bounced.

Not only does it look like him… if you view the video from the Lubbock News when Leach’s lawyer is giving the tour, you can hear the same tone of electrical buzz in the background.  When the camera is first entering the media room, you see a door to the left that the lawyer never opens.  Now the real question is, was Adam really locked in that other room or did he go in there and film it so he could support a made up story with video evidence?

A) That looks like the video where the guy mails the acid bomb to Bjork,,, not really plot-wise, but just atmosperically.

B) Tell Shrages that the Bank of America pop-up ad is lagging the sh*t out of this blog, and has been for some time now.

I think Techfan is right on all points.  Doesn’t look like he was locked in, nor does it look like there was anyone with him.  Given that the trainers were checking up on him every 15 minutes or so, it also seems as if he could have walked in, taken the video and walked out.  In addition, what’s he wearing?  Doesn’t look like either practice or workout clothing.

Time will tell.

Ok.  Lets make it sinple.  Spaethcom is a pr firm located in Dallas.  Craig James played football at SMU and is originally from Texas.  You cannot comment on the video.  Hmmm.  Do you think perhaps Mr. James made a phone call with his iphone while locked in the "equipment room" and was told to take a video?

Far as I am concerned, even if he was locked in that little room, he was a scholarship athlete at a division 1 school.  He chose to play football.  He was cleared by the staff for practice.  If he didnt want to go, he didnt have to show up.  Quit hiding in daddy’s pants.

If he was dressed up in his practice uniform, where did he keep his iphone? If was in fact going to practice, wouldn’t he be worried that his iphone would get busted?

This looks staged after the fact in order to try to prove his fabricated story. First of all, why is he wispering? no need if he was told to go in there, unless he doesnt want to be caught. That means that he is not where he is suppose to  be. Second, this is a big one, why does he even have his phone with him? If he was really at football practice then he would not have that stuff with him if he came to work out that day. he either brought it with him in order to fabricate this story, or it was filmed later. You be the judge.

This James kid is a giant steaming pile of dog crap and I hope the Red Raiders pay for jumping to conclusions so quickly and I feel sorry for whatever team this little kid transfers to.

I also noticed another funny thing….according to reports he was put in a dark damp, electrical closet. In this video he had control of the lights, that does not make to much sense does it? It looks like his story that James made up is already unraveling, this kid is a tool.

If it was so bad… why wouldn’t he call 911,  instead of his dad?  what a wussy

brooks36, why are you trying to insert logic into this situation?  No one has seem to use it before now.
