Did Golden State's star guard Monta Ellis have a terrible game last night?
"No no no... Of course not!" you say. "It couldn't be a terrible game. He had 24 points and 8 assists!" And yes. This is true.
But consider: he had 9 turnovers, which is just ridiculous. He was also 9-27 of from the field, which is not very good. And 27 shots is a lot. And he got his shot blocked SEVEN different times. Imagine getting blocked that often, and continuing to shoot. Like whack-a-mole, except... (gasp) MONTA'S THE MOLE!
"No, go ahead. Keep shooting. It'll be different this time."
And then, with the game on the line, and a chance to win it with 3 seconds left (and/or get blocked an eighth time), Ellis was called for traveling. Really. Just like that, game over.
We told you it was terrible, right?
