In the first quarter of the Florida-Alabama game at the Georgia Dome, Tide kicker Leigh Tiffin doinked an extra point attempt off the right bar. Both teams botched a PAT attempt in the Cincinnati-Pitt matchup. And in Greenville, Houston kicker Matt Hogan missed three -- three -- extra point opportunities during a 24-21 loss to East Carolina. Missed PATs aren't unheard of in college football, of course, but it's sort of ridiculous for at least two big games to be decided by an inability to reliably tap a football through the posts from within 20 yards.
There's one more point I'd like to make about all this, and that is: ajkgr;vnabn;bndbl. Oh no, I botched it!
