Frankie Edgar Submits Matt Veach In Second Round

Matt Veach suffered his first career loss at the hands of Frankie Edgar in the second fight of the main card of The Ultimate Fighter Finale. Veach came out strong, scoring with some big slams in the first round and even landing some solid punches standing. Late in the first it became clear that Matt was tiring and Frankie started to score with punches standing.

In the second round Veach was never able to get on track as Edgar was much too quick standing. A short right hand wobbled Veach’s legs and Frankie followed him to the ground, unleashing some brutal ground and pound. Finally, Matt had no choice but to give up his back allowing Edgar to sink in the rear naked choke for a submission victory.
