Granger Needs Wheelchair To Leave Team Plane

This is certainly not good news for Pacers fans. Via Indianapolis Star Pacers beat reporter Mike Wells.

Uhh ... yeah, that's certainly not a good sign.  It's also coming at a really bad time for the Pacers, as their season goes flying off the tracks.  Indiana is 6-12 and had lost five in a row prior to the Granger injury.  Without Granger, things surely will get worse.

It's enough for SB Nation's Pacers blog Indy Cornrows to wonder whether changes should be in store.  Whenever that phrase gets uttered in the middle of the season, it usually means a coaching change, and sure enough, that's exactly what Tom Lewis advocates if things don't get better.  Not because firing Jim O'Brien changes much, but because that's literally the only option out there.  Indiana has too many bad long-term contracts to fetch much value in a trade, and the players aren't going to all magically get significantly better in such a short period of time.
