Heisman Finalists: Announced; Righteous Indignation: Engaged
And the lucky five making the trip to New York are:
• Tim Tebow, QB/Sobering Inevitability, Florida
• Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
• Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
• Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford
• Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
Notable omissions sure to set the internet merrily ablaze with screams:
• C.J. Spiller, RB/Philosopher-King, Clemson
• Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State
Arguments you're about to hear, reasonable and otherwise, from all sides until your ears tear themselves from your heads in protest:
• "Tim Tebow was a bright spot in a down offensive year for Florida and is only being included because he's a media goldmine!"
• "Colt McCoy's performance in the Big XII championship game ought to count against him just as much as Ndamukong Suh's counts in his favor!"
• "Mark Ingram, to hear some Trent Richardson fans tell it, might not even be the best running back at Alabama!"
• "Kellen Moore is a sophmore and will get his chance but has to wait his turn despite putting up monster numbers out in front of an undefeated team!"
• Seriously, that Spiller snub is just atrocious. There's got to be video footage of him performing an emergency appendectomy on the sideline somewhere that could sway a recount.
