Augustus Parrish
6'4, 297 | Kent State | Offensive tackle
Strengths: Parrish is a very athletic left tackle with great feet. Light on his feet. Moves around well. Has the quickness to neutralize speed rushers. Has long arms to keep pass rushers on the outside. Great at the second level locating and neutralizing opponents. Can be utilized on pulls. Sustains his blocks nicely.
Weaknesses: Although he's a three-year starter, Parrish still looks raw. His technique is lacking, particularly his hand usage. Stands up too tall. Really lacks strength at the point of attack, which is problematic in the run game. Can be pushed back by strong defensive linemen.
Final word: Parrish shows flashes of being an elite left tackle due to his frame, athleticism and quickness. However, Parrish is greatly lacking in the run game. With a year or two learning more and getting stronger, he could become a solid NFL offensive tackle. Started the final consecutive games of his career and 36 overall. A three-year starter at left tackle. Named a two-time second team all-conference player.
