The Slowest Extreme Sport Ever: Slacklining

It's always interesting to see what benign activities cities and schools manage to ban kids from taking part in. "Extreme sports" like, um, skateboarding, parkour and Muggle Quidditch are the usual suspects for regulation from The Man. But the city of Salinas has gone ridiculously far in banning something called slacklining from its city parks.

I don't know whether the ban makes slacklining look more or less boring. But maybe it's all for the best -- kids get way too much fresh air and physical activity these days. Better to keep them inside where they can't get hurt.

That sport would be better if you could throw stuff at them, like bricks and axes.

After watching the video, I was thinking pungi sticks would make the sport more interesting.
