Decorative Band-Aids Don't Fit NBA Dress Code

No one liked half the outfits injured NBA stars pulled together before David Stern instituted his infamous dress code, which requires suits on the sidelines, on the team bus and on the plane. The Canadian tuxedos and sweatsuits looked awful, but the whole idea of, I don't know, freedom of self-expression -- young people tend to think that's important. And Stern doesn't care.

Dwyane Wade always adheres to the dress code (unless someone slipped in a "no bowties or Costello goggles" rule). But an (admittedly silly) on-court fashion statement from Wade drew the ire of Stern. Via FanHouse, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel gives us the news.
The slogan-bearing bandages Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has been wearing beneath his previously injured left eye have been banned by the NBA. "We spoke to them," NBA spokesman Tim Frank said today. "A player can wear a Band-Aid for healthcare purposes, but it shouldn't have any name or identifications on it."
Wade has ruined it for everyone. Kenyon Martin must really regret buying those Scooby-Doo Band-Aids in bulk.

This is one thing I’ll supoort Stern with. Just for the simple fact that Wade looked like a goofball and I hate seeing him like that.

More harm has been done to this world by old white people in three-piece suits than by every black kid in baggy pants ever. Only a moron would run a young black league and try to make everyone dress like they’re doing mergers and acquisitions. You have to wonder when a player is going to question a career-long reign of one very narrow-minded Jew over the blackest sport west of Liberia.
