During a timeout with 7 seconds left and New Mexico State leading 70-69, Utah State's mascot, "Big Blue" the bull, confronted New Mexico State's "Pistol Pete" cowboy mascot and ripped off his fake mustache. The cowboy then chased the bull to halfcourt, jumped on his back and tried unsuccessfully to pull him to the floor.A neutral fan bribed one mascot to torment the other mascot during crunch time of a key game. THIS IS RENO, NEVADA. I see an ad campaign coming.
"Pistol Pete" then started to try to choke his rival before retreating to his end of the court. Several newspaper photographers covering the game said they heard a man in a Nevada shirt offer the Utah State mascot $100 to go grab the mustache.

I guess my sense of humor needs some tweaking, but I missed your attempt at humor here. As far as two mascots fighting – funny enough I guess, but bashing Reno?

The joke is this isn’t surprising given it happened in Reno.
Also, it doesn’t really need a joke. A fan bribed another team’s mascot to harass another team’s mascot.

I think you guys have no idea what humor is then. It doesn’t matter where it is two mascots actually fighting is hilarious. Seeing that just makes everyone laugh.

So it’s funny because it’s Reno? It’s fun to bash Reno because of Reno 911? That’s funny HARF HARF HARF.

Being a mascot is a serious business in the UK. You check out the dust-up between the three little pigs and the Big Bad Wolf.

Anyone who’s seen more than 10 minutes of Reno 911 knows why this is made even funnier by the fact that it was in Reno. Lighten up.

and NevadaBlue, I’m from Texas, so you get no sympathy in my department. People are surprised that I don’t wear cowboy boots and drive a truck. No one said every person that lives in Reno is a loser, but the town has a reputation that’s well earned. Just as Texas has earned it’s rep.
