Earns his 10th top 15 at Nashville Superspeedway
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April, 13, 2009 – Racing under the watchful eyes of owners Gary Baker and Mike Curb along with many employees, friends and family of Baker Curb Racing, Jason Keller brought the Scott Tissue Ford Fusion home 12th Saturday in the Nashville 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.
The always consistent Keller started the race 15th, spent all but four laps in the top 15, and has now finished ahead of where he started in five of the six races this season.
“I wish we could’ve brought home the victory for the people of Nashville, especially those affected by that terrible storm on Friday but we did have a very respectable run,” said Keller, whose owners’ had vowed to donate the Nationwide “Dash 4 Cash” $25,000 bonus to the local American Red Cross had the team gone to victory lane. “We’re continuing to show improvement with the results on the track and I’m confident that as the season continues we’re going to get even better and hopefully by the time the second race in Nashville comes along we’ll be running up front competing for the win.”
Keller stands 10th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings as the series moves to Phoenix International Raceway for the running of the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 Friday at 9:00 p.m. EST
