Plaxico Has His Own Stevie Janowski

If you didn't see Eastbound and Down, HBO's six episode story arc celebrating the misadventures of the fictional John Rocker/Mitch Williams hybrid Kenny Powers and his fall from pitching grace ... well, I pity you. It's profane genius from start to finish and features the finest mullet not stuck to John Kruk's skull to ever appear on television. ↵

↵This is going somewhere, so we'll try to get there quickly. Kenny has a tragic sidekick, Stevie Janowski, a band teacher Kenny went to high school with who idolizes him (despite Kenny not remembering Stevie and blatantly using him for favors throughout the series). Stevie also looks like this. ↵

↵

↵Now, please see this picture of Plaxico Burress, who also has his own loyal unpaid assistant, evidently: ↵

↵If Eastbound and Down turns out to be based not on Rocker, but rather on Burress, then I have officially become 500 times more fond of Plaxico than I was before. (500 times "very little" still isn't much, but it's an improvement nonetheless.) It also means the butt-cut is the essential haircut for all pasty hangers-on of professional athletes. Hangers-on, please note this in your employee manuals. Burress also appears to be winking here, or is wincing from the impact of the gun tucked into his pants discharging into his leg. Again. ↵
