Notre Dame Football Players Bend, Don't Break

(UPDATE: As you can tell, the video was removed by the user, which is unfortunate because it was ridiculously awesome. We are actively searching for another version of it. /shakes fist at internet)

Rapping ain't easy. For proof, take these Notre Dame football players and their attempt at rapping about how hard it is to be a scholarship athlete, and how you bend until you break because living in northern Indiana is just like that, yo. Also of importance; life is about getting money, Pat Kuntz proudly wears jean shorts, and nothing's more gangsta than a Dave Matthews Band poster. If you show someone that and a gun, I'm pretty sure they'll just hand you the keys to their house and ask you to take their wife, so intimidated would they be.

James Aldridge, Notre Dame fullback, is the singer, and his "Last Dance" strumming and passable Staind imitation sandwiched into the middle of the song clearly hint at this being a late-night dorm project. You play guitar? Cool, play something here. Can you rap? No? Well, try anyway. If someone played bagpipes, glockenspiel, or even yodeled, they would have tried to work them into the rotation. And now that I'm thinking about that, this would have been a much more interesting record. (Not enough rap songs have glockenspiel solos these days.)

I think the 7th Floor Crew just stole all of their girlfriends and pissed in their Wheaties.

As a former urban schoolteacher, I have the authority to say that the leadoff guy on the 7th Floor Crew rap was not without a great deal of talent. Somebody should have signed that (blo)gga.
