Bad Day To Be Federer's Racket

A few days ago, noted solipsistic soliloquist Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press embodied the inanimate voice of Tom Izzo. What a heroic role to take on! We can learn so much from reading a writer of Albom's ... quality bypassing on opportunity to serve as a conduit for a truly interesting character, Izzo, in order to show off his own impeccable fiction-writing chops. I mean, isn't that what sportswriting should be? Enflourished fiction with no trace of insight or humor?

Albom's only encore after giving voice to Izzo's, er, voice can be for the best-selling author to use his column to allow Roger Federer's racket to speak to us. I predict the first word would be, "Ow."

Where is Federer on the "accept the demise of your domination" ladder? Does "mangle your racket" directly precede "murder a drifter," or "renounce Earthly citizenship?"
