Look, I want to say out front that I'm well aware that domestic disputes are no joke. But the absolute absurdity of this story involving Facebook and Quinn Ojinnaka demands closer examination.
According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, Ojinnaka is facing battery charges after a fight with his wife that resulted over a female friend on the Falcons tackle's Facebook profile.
Police said he tussled with his wife and spat at her during a fight over a female friend of his on Facebook.Ojinnaka said his wife tried to stab him with a pen. She said he threw her on some stairs and tossed her out of the house.
It takes a big man, Mr. Ojinnaka, to toss around a woman like that, even if it is unclear in what order those events described by WSB-TV unfolded. Even if she comes at him first with a pen, Ojinnaka is 6-foot-5, 305 lbs. Unless he's married to Julius Peppers, this situation should never escalate to this point.
But this all brings me back to perhaps one of the smartest things my college roommate ever said to me when people wanted to take pictures at parties: "No physical evidence!" Athletes doing dirt and having an extra lady friend is about as unsurprising as steroids and academic cheating scandals, even if it doesn't make it less sleazy. At least Manny Ramirez and the Memphis coaching staff weren't Twittering about it or making Facebook friends with steroid dealers.
Oh, and Mr. Ojinnaka, that guy on the other end of that phone ringing is Roger Goodell; he'd like a word with you.

Does the guy not have an agent or friend who can actually delete his Facebook account? It’s still active…..can view all his friends….it’s called spin control - whether he did it or not.

LOL, what happens if his wife is like 200 lbs? I love woman, but wife or not you try to stab me with a pen I throw your ass out of the house. Its not like the guy got on top of her and beat her down……that would be different.

Of all the statements made before me on this subject only SailorGabe has sense. Remeber people this guy makes a living with his body and his JEALOUS wife decides to do great bodily harm regardless of what the weapon is. A pen to the eye can end a season at the least, a LIFE at the worst. (Sean Taylor was shot in the leg and died).
I wish My wife would come at me with anything meaning to hurt me seriously the last thing she would see is my wedding ring. LIGHTS OUT
