We don't have a ton of analysis to give out at this point or anything; it's still pretty early in the tournament, all things considered. It just seems like it merits mention for posterity's sake: at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday at Bethpage Black, Tiger Woods was getting absolutely annihilated by Ricky Barnes; Barnes is leading the field with ease at -11, and Tiger's only five strokes ahead of the basement at +3.This post originally appeared on the Sporting Blog. Tiger is still not quite right yet. I seriously doubt that he will win a major this year…and would be very surprised if he does. Regardless of your sport, it takes 1-2 years to come back from a knee injury…both physically and mentally. Yes, he can win an individual tournament right now, but he is not consistent. All of the parts of his game aren’t clicking at the same time…from hole to hole or from tournament to tournament. He doesn’t have that mental edge over his opponents anymore…not right now. Like any other sport, golf is just as much a mental game as it is physical.
