Coraline, Meet Goldy, Your Hell-Gopher Father

Minnesota's Memorial Stadium was the Gophers' home until they made the ↵colossal error of moving into the Metrodome in 1981, and it saw the best of ↵Gopher football, including three national titles. The Metrodome error ↵will be corrected this fall when the Gophers open up a new on-campus ↵stadium unfortunately named after a bank. ↵

↵In preparation or celebration the University of Minnesota has just ↵erected a tribute website for their old digs. It contains a lot of e-heroin for the ↵college football history junkie, but perhaps nothing as historically ↵awesome as this young child meeting the buck-toothed demon who would ↵haunt her nightmares until her mid-20s: ↵

↵There's plenty of other nuggets for single-wing or Little Brown Jug ↵enthusiasts plus preview magazines from the '30sthat sound like they were edited by T. Herman Zweibel. There's more ↵college football history there than you can shake a stick at. I mean... ↵
