Never say the voice of people is dead. Not after the masses managed to get N.C. State's new jerseys for the upcoming hoops season scrapped, according to the Technician.
The jerseys made their debut on Twitter on Wednesday last week. The Dagger has a sampling of some of the comments left in reply to N.C. State's official twitter account. Needless to say, like the jersey, the response was ugly. But fear not, for your cries have been heard.
“It seems to have created some controversy, and there’s nothing [coach Sidney Lowe], I, or the department would rather avoid than making the students upset,” [athletic director Lee] Fowler said.[...]
“We tried it that way, but we certainly didn’t anticipate it getting to this point,” Lowe said.
Kudos to the Wolfpack for acknowledging a solid dose of epic fail when they see it. I wasn't a fan of the small N.C. above "State" even though I get what they were going for. The good news is that only one set was produced and adidas handles all of those expenses, so no outcries about wasted jerseys in times of a tight budget. They'll go back to rocking the old style and everyone can go on with their lives as if this whole nightmare never happened. Now on the matter of Herb Sendek leaving town and turning around his coaching career at Arizona State. Well, there aren't enough @ replies on Twitter to make that bad feeling go away.

You just had to mention Sendek. For the record, he left us.

Didn’t say they fired him — although for the record, he wasn’t exactly loved at the end — but it if anything is kind of like Browns fans having to watch Belichick be successful at the next stop, particularly when not only has Sendek been doing well at Arizona State, but the recruits he would’ve brought in that last year have also been pretty strong at other schools.

Not really, they ran sendek out of town. He wasn’t appreciated despite 5 dance parties. Horrible.
