Michael jordan's Hall of Fame speech was called "petty" by one NBA writer, and now one of the targets of Jordan's speech is standing up against the oddly timed verbal barbs.
“I’ll play his a— right now,” [Utah Jazz wing Bryon] Russell told Yahoo! Sports. “This is a call-out for him to come play me. He can come out here in his private jet and come play. He’s got millions of dollars. He can pay for the jet. He can meet me at the Recreation Center in Calabasas.
Russell's connection to Jordan needs no explanation, but the comments from Jordan are indeed peculiar. Here's what he had to say this weekend.

Puh-leeeze! The only way Bryon Russell could beat Jordan would be now that Mike is closer to 50 than to 40! When it was time to play, when the lights were brightest, Mike punked Russell on the biggest stage in basketball…the NBA Finals. Once a man hits a championship winning jumper on you…and poses for pictures while you flail around helplessly…ain’t no get back for that after the fact! Besides, maybe when Mike was retired Russell could have kept his yap shut about guarding him. He just joined the failed "Jordan Stoppers" brigade, along with Gerald Wilkins, Craig Ehlo, and Trent Tucker!
