When ESPN launched their Boston hub this week the ongoing joke around the internet was: How is ESPN Boston different from ESPN?
It’s actually a good question. Especially when you consider ESPN.com led with a meaningless Red Sox-Angels game this morning (both teams are virtual locks to make the playoffs) over the Giants-Rockies game, which had massive playoff implications.
And it’s not just an east coast bias. It’s an ESPN bias. Not one other major, national sports site promoted the Red Sox-Angels game over the Giants-Rockies this morning.
