Kenyon Martin spoke to a Denver radio station recently and had some interesting things to say about last year’s playoffs.
From Sports Radio Interviews:
I think guys know that we were right there and everybody in that locker room and in the organization feels we were a better team than the Lakers. Everybody feels we were a better team than the Lakers and no one can tell me anything different. No one.
While K-Mart’s remarks are basically irrelevant after the Lakers beat them in six games and went on to win the title, he may have a point. For a good portion of that series, Denver was the more talented team. “Better,” though?
Maybe if they could throw an inbound pass…
