Well, last week we told you that the Houston Rockets had signed former lottery pick Rashad McCants to a non-guaranteed contract. As diehard Tar Heels fan, I rejoiced at Rashad’s good fortune, particularly because a stamp of approval from Rockets GM Daryl Morey means more than most.
Sadly, it was not to be. Because of a lingering abdominal injury for McCants, the Rockets have elected to go in a different direction, instead signing Romel Beck to a non-guaranteed deal. For shame!
Not sure who Ramel Beck is? SBN’s Rockets blog, The Dream Shake, offers some insight.
