I’m not ridiculing Lamar Odom for marrying Khloe Kardashian. Really, I’m not. Love takes any number of forms, and who are we to judge? But what follows is an explanation from Odom, and it’s either extremely circuitous and sophisticated beyond my grasp, or, well, it makes no sense.
From Sports Radio Interviews:
I’ve been a rock star. I’ve been on my own since I was 16. Doing it so fast, there were a lot of family members that couldn’t even agree, so I can imagine what it would look like to the person that is not involved in my life everyday. But I fell in love and the reason that I knew I was in love was because I knew how I felt when I wasn’t with that person or if she was no longer in my life.
I’ve been in LA for 10 years. I’ve never had a problem meeting women. The first team I was on [the Clippers?] they never won a game and people thought they would win a game because they had me on the team. I was like oh man, and he’s not ugly…like him.
What he’s trying to say is… The heart wants what the heart wants, and sometimes, the heart wants a Kardashian, and oh man, he’s not ugly.

My guess is that this marriage turns out to be a publicity stunt and used as part of a reality TV show. In the end there will be no marriage or an annulment.
