The doldrums of the sports offseason end today. August baseball has given way to September pennant races, college football is upon us, and the NFL is right around the corner. Oh, and look, there's tennis!
Me? I'm watching game 7 of the 1984 NBA Finals on ESPN Classic. Live from the Boston Garden! (Technically, 15 years old... but still). Kurt Rambis and Kareem both have their goggles in full effect, Pat Riley has his hair slicked back, and Larry Bird just made a mockery of a Lakers double team. God I miss Ronald Reagan big hair cocaine Journey the 80s.
