Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left today's dramatic win with a strained back. Tulowitzki is reportedly day-to-day. Omar Quintanilla came in to replace Tulowitzki even though the shortstop reportedly lobbied to stay in the game. I would guess that the injury isn't serious but you never know how the back will react once the muscles aren't warm any more.
"I'm a little sore right now, and a little tight, but at the same time, who knows?" Tulowitzki said. "[I may] wake up and feel good to go. These are important games, and I want to be in there. So we'll see what happens. Tomorrow will tell."
This would obviously be a bit of blow to the Rockies wild card bid. Tulowitzki is hitting .281 this year and has a .363 OBP and an .884 OPS, the best of his still young career.
