Huston Street threw about 20 balls in a soft-toss session on Monday as he battles through biceps tendinitis. More from The Denver Post:
[T]here was some tightness and tentativeness early in the session, manager Jim Tracy considered it a success.
Ideally, Street will continue working this week, building strength, and the Rockies would find a spot from him this weekend in San Diego. It wouldn’t be as a closer, at least not for Street’s first time back. Tracy said he would rather test Street out in San Diego as opposed to throwing him into the fire during a crucial series in San Francisco beginning Sept. 14.
