Mets Fans Get Creative with 2009's Disappointment

To cope, Mets fans have been forced to get creative with assigning blame. Most recently: the World Baseball Classic, as highlighted by Amazin’ Avenue.

Eric points out that of the nine players the Mets sent to the WBC — Reyes, Perez, Feliciano, Cora, Delgado, Beltran, Putz, Wright, Rodriguez — only three “have had what could be reasonably described as healthy seasons.” It’s certainly possible the WBC had a negative effect.
