Pretty surprising news breaking. Josh Gross was "tweeting" earlier that the rumored Dan Henderson/Antonio Rogerio Nogueria fight wouldn't be happening and said that Dan's next fight may not even be in the UFC. All the tweets and some reaction by Kid Nate can be found here at BloodyElbow.com. It should be noted that it seems Dan wants to stay in the UFC and the promotion certainly isn't going to want him to end up in Strikeforce or anything.
Everything in the UFC's middleweight division is massively confusing right now. Champion Anderson Silva was supposed to be fighting either Dan Henderson or Nate Marquardt, both of whom he already beat once. Henderson brutally KO'ed Michael Bisping to put himself back in line only to be one upped by Marquadt knocking out Demian Maia just a few seconds into the first round. However, Silva says that he isn't interested in rematching either guy and seems focused on moving up to 205 pounds, where he refuses to fight champion and teammate Lyoto Machida. In addition, news comes out that Silva is going to have surgery on his elbow only to have his own manager come out and say that this was never the case which leads to rumors start that Anderson is on hold for some super secret unannounced card to counter the next Strikeforce show.
So one would think amidst all this confusion that Henderson/Marquardt makes the most sense to clear up the picture a little, but now Dan is saying that the only fight at 185 pounds he is interested in is with Silva. So rumors break that Henderson is going to fight "Lil' Nog" in Europe at 205 pounds only to be shot down. And now we find out that Dan isn't even under contract at the moment?
What the hell is going on?

I am pretty sure Dan will stay with UFC. He only wants big fights right now in his career and UFC is the only place he is going to get them.

You're probably right...
it’s just such a weird division right now.
