Ever been disgusted by one of your friends to the extent that you don't want anyone else to like them either? (If you haven't, ask your most passive-aggressive female relation to show you how it's done.) Well, there's a sizable swath of Jacksonville Jaguars fans who aren't particularly pleased with the direction of their team under Jack Del Rio, and that contingent apparently extends to the local paper:
Pete Carroll is the new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, and now the jockeying begins to replace him at Southern Cal.
It appears their first choice to replace him is not Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio, the 1985 Rose Bowl MVP with the Trojans. But he could move up the list.
Why Del Rio would be USC's first choice is anyone's guess given his record of late, but that's very much beside the point, which is to congratulate the Times-Union for executing a flawless Regina George maneuver in print. Junior-high girls around this great nation salute you.
