Writers all have bad days, and Sally Jenkins, an otherwise fine columnist, had one when she confused Lane Kiffin as being representative of college football here. If anything, he’s a trainwreck of an exception to the rule, and thus fascinating like Octomom, the Loch Ness Monster, or Skip Bayless.
A better piece on the state of coaching and its trials comes from Jay Paterno, who you know, actually does this stuff for a living and is the son of an obscure Pennsylvania club coach.
