Remember when Chandler Parsons hit a 70-footer to give Florida a miracle 68-66 win at N.C. State back on January 3rd?
He did it again to South Carolina on Saturday evening, just at a more believable distance.
The Gators' Kenny Boynton was fouled while attempting a three with 11 seconds to go. After he made all three foul shots, Florida held a fragile 55-54 lead.
That's when the Gamecocks' Devan Downey and Parsons ended the evening's entertainment with flourishes at opposite ends of the court.
The Gators prevailed 58-56 to move to 14-5, 3-2 in the rugged SEC East, while the Gamecocks fall to 11-7 and 2-3 in the conference.
If Florida can end their two-year tournament drought in March, much of the credit may have to go to Chandler Parsons who saved the Gators' hides on two occasions.
