You could mount a pretty convincing argument that by winning the title last year, Kobe Bryant cemented his legacy as one of the ten best players of all time. But in addition to winning basketball immortality, Kobe and the Lakers earned the right to a sitdown with none other than President Obama. Pretty cool bonus.
This might be the first time a team of players have been legitimately excited to meet a President since Michael Jordan and Bill Clinton were comparing each other's mistresses back in the '90s. And yeah, about Clinton....
That's an impossibly perfect juxtaposition of Lamar Odom's smiling, sorta-famous wife, Khloe Kardashian—indisputably the Monica Lewinsky of the Kardashian clan—and none other than Bubba himself! A match made in heaven, really.
Note to the Lakers: No victory cigars, please.
