Indianapolis, New Orleans Bet City Treasures On Super Bowl Outcome

Bored with years of Super Bowl bets between mayors of warring factions involving famous local foodstuffs and t-shirts? Me too, which is why I love the loaner bets going down between the Indianapolis and New Orleans art museums (and yes, I'm as surprised Indianapolis has an art museum as you are):

"[Indianapolis Museum of Art director] Max Anderson must not really believe the Colts can beat the Saints in the Super Bowl. Otherwise why would he bet such an insignificant work as the Ingrid Calame painting?

That's right. INGRID CALAME SMACK TALK! This just got real, y'all.

Indianapolis and the arts

Holly – When were you last in Indianapolis? What do you know about Indianapolis? Why do you think you’re entitled to run down Indianapolis? Yes, we have a fine art museum, a world-class symphony and opera company in addition to a world-class football team. The Indianapolis arts community supports the Colts as the Colts support the arts community. Come take a look sometime instead of just being snide.

I'm a Colts fan, actually,

and am thus entitled to make jokes at lovely Indy’s expense. Relax.
