Some breaking news out of the Minnesota Vikings' camp that's going to surprise absolutely no one:
As the media surrounded him, Favre went back inside the Metrodome and demanded a meeting with General Manager Rick Spielman. Spielman granted Favre's request, and after another 45 minutes, emerged with the news that Favre had been traded to the New Orleans Saints, retroactive to June 2009. Favre is now claiming to be challenging Drew Brees for the starting job in Super Bowl XLIV.
(Turns out this is actually a satirical little lark from SBN's Buckeye Battle Cry, but how far down did you have to read before you realized that? Because it's completely plausible.)
