Before Tuesday night's game between No. 1 Kentucky and South Carolina, Gamecock said that despite being on the floor with freshman phenom John Wall, he felt like he would be the best player on the court. Draftniks and pundits will have their say at the end of the year but for tonight, he was right. Downey's 30-point effort led South Carolina's upset of the top-ranked team.
Pay no attention to his 9-29 shooting. That's downright Kobe-esque, anyway. If you don't know the two-time first-team All-SEC player...now you know.
