Great hockey players can make the puck cooperate and follow them. Washington embarrassed the New York Islanders yesterday by a 7-2 scoreline although they shouldn't feel too down because the Capitals can pummel any NHL club with their amazing offense. Alexander Semin is one example of their capabilities and on another squad, he would most likely be the best forward. The Russian still stands out more than Alexander Ovechkin on certain nights and this was one of them as he fired in two goals, the second an absolute dazzler.
Watch and learn how to control the puck in tight quarters.
On an evening where Ovechkin was held pointless, Washington showed how they can function together. With three lines that can score and the offense clicking, head coach Bruce Boudreau has to be thinking that the playoffs can't come soon enough.
