Despite being an incredibly successful team over the last several years, one losing streak has dogged the Phoenix Suns like no other. Heading into last night’s game against the Mavericks, the Suns had lost 18 straight games on TNT. Let me repeat that to you for added effect: The Phoenix Suns had lost 18 straight games on TNT.
Last night, the team banded together and played with a sense of urgency in defeating the Mavericks. They didn’t want to continue the embarrassing streak and they played like it! They played for pride! Okay, maybe they just didn’t know, but it’s much more fun to say they did.
Speaking of embarrassing streaks on TV stations, maybe now the New Jersey Nets will be inspired enough to snap their embarrassing four-wins-in-44-games streak on YES Network this season.
