In December, Detroit Tigers catcher Gerald Laird was arrested at a Phoenix Suns game after taking part in a brawl. Also facing legal action were his brother and uncle. Now the story has taken a turn for the absurd. Charlsie House, wife of the Boston Celtics' Eddie House, claims that Laird's grandfather touched her inappropriately:
Authorities said House quickly left the arena's Verve Energy Lounge after accusing the Lairds' 70-year-old grandfather, who was never cited, of touching her inappropriately.
Given that the Laird family has already been established as a real piece of work, I don't have much difficulty believing this. Whatever the case, the odd pairing of Eddie House's wife and Gerald Laird's grandpa in a story leads me to believe that this is a real-life Mad Lib. I mean, come on, let's try it.
Gerald Laird faced legal action after an incident at a Phoenix Suns game. Gerald Laird's brother hurled insults at Eddie House. Gerald Laird's grandpa allegedly groped Eddie House's wife. Gerald Laird is a bag of sand who is also a weird jerk.
Yeah, that's about right.
