Louisville basketball's 13-7 record, including a 4-3 mark in the Big East, has put them at sixth place in the conference. This program enters every season with high hopes, but at this juncture, there's a very real chance that they'll be banished to NIT purgatory in March.
This reality was driven home during Thursday night's ESPN broadcast. The crew put up a graphic showing the Big East standings. Louisville was spelled, "Lousiville." This exact typo is committed all the time by all sorts of people, but it's sort of a watermark for for U of L fans. If they spell the city right, the Cardinals are relevant. If they don't, then, well..."Lousiville" is a more appropriate name anyway.
