Dion Phaneuf? No. Jay Bouwmeester? I don't think so. Robyn Regehr? Not likely. Mark Giordano has been the finest defenseman for the Calgary Flames this season reaching new heights offensively without compromising his defensive duties. The Toronto native has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points leading all Flames blue liners. His remarkable solo effort against the Phoenix Coyotes puts the exclamation point on a breakthrough campaign.
Those aren't rookies he got away from. After dodging a hit from Ed Jovanovski and maintaining the puck, Giordano went around a sliding Zbynek Michalek and tucked it in by Ilya Bryzgalov. With the struggles of Phaneuf and Bouwmeester, the 26-year-old has taken his opportunity and people are beginning to take notice.

Great post! This is an amazing Online sports site! I am surprised that this Online sports site is not listed as a Top on the latest ranking at www.dozensports.com. I am a huge Online sports fan and love to watch NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB. I thought your site would be listed there already. Keep up the good work.
