Toronto Fan Reaction To Brian Burke's Moves

Brian Burke has made some moves for position the Toronto Maple Leafs for now and the future and the fan's are reacting with mixed reactions. Our Toronto Maple Leafs site, Pension Plan Puppets, has a large community and on these two trades they are reacting in mixed ways.

Phaneuf trade:

Wow.. I’m overwhelmed… I think Burkie was up late playing NHL10 and he’s getting his BlackBerry confused with his PS3 controller

Phaneuf?!? So the Leafs get Calgary’s sloppy seconds?

We got Phaneuf and a pretty good D prospect for two UFAs and a RFA who was in line for a HUGE raise. Losing Hagman sucks, but I’m guessing Hagman’s, White’s, and Stajan’s value will never be better than what it is right now. Can’t say the same for Phaneuf or Aulie at all.

All I know is last time we had a big deal with the Flames we got Doug Gilmour…I’m just saying I’m optimistic about this.

Giguere trade:

BLAKE IS GOING TO ANAHEIM FOR GIGUERE?!  OH MY GOD I LOVE BRIAN BURKE BUT HE LEFT ME WITHOUT A SCAPEGOAT ON THIS TEAM
