I occasionally get asked why SB Nation is so different from other sports sites out there. Well, for one thing, I don't think you often see engagements happening through other sports sites. But that's what happened over the holiday break for two long-time Athletics Nation users (one happens to be SB Nation's Community Events Manager and front page writer for AN).
So when an SB Nation community hosts a meet up at a game or at a bar or a tailgating event, make the time to go along. You never know who you might meet.
Maybe you'll soon see me doing those god-awful EHarmony commercials on being matched up based on compatibility. In reality, we just match people based on one key measure of compatibility. Sports allegiance. Is there anything else?
