According to reports from FanHouse and ESPN, South Florida fired head coach Jim Leavitt Friday morning. The reported move comes three weeks after FanHouse published allegations by a South Florida player that Leavitt struck him in the face. The university's findings from their investigation into that incident are expected to be made public.
Leavitt has been the Bulls only coach during the program's 14-year existence. He is 94-57, and has led South Florida to five straight bowl appearances.

It's a new era, man
As a teacher, I have to always remember that everything I do could end up on Facebook or Youtube. Gotta be so careful to make good decisions.

My brother is a USF grad...
His text to me after he heard the news. “Very happy, though most here probably won’t be.”
He’d been saying Leavitt needed to go for a couple of seasons because of on-field performance, but obviously it took more for the administration to actually pull the trigger.
