PHOTO: Manny Pacquiao Wins By Unanimous Decision, Leaves Antonio Margarito Cut Badly

Manny Pacquiao spent his evening dancing around the ring at Cowboys Stadium in Texas, dismantling Antonio Margarito in the process. When it ended, Pacquiao was a unanimous winner on the scorecards, walking to an easy, 12 round victory.

It was early in the fight that Pacquiao did his damage. A powerful punch from Pacquiao opened up what started as a small gash under Margarito's right eye. As the fight progressed, the cut deteriorated, eventually morphing into a gruesome welt. By the 12th round, the cut had taken on a life of its own. Not only did it swell to blatantly noticeable levels, but the cut appeared to slowly be eating his face, starting at the right eye.

The HBO cameras caught the moment in beautiful slow-mo between rounds, but the fun was just beginning. Late in the fight, as Pacquiao clearly began working the cut methodically, the HBO cameras caught Pacquiao "popping" the welt in glorious slow-motion. The beauty of technology in our modern era.

After the jump, the now infamous cut under Antonio Margarito's right eye. (WARNING: Photo is gruesome and not for the faint of heart).
