What's it looking like today in the world of fantasy football in regard to injuries, actives and inactives?
Minnesota Vikings At Washington Redskins
Bernard Berrian will not play for the Vikings in today's game versus the Redskins. The speedy wide receiver has had problems with his groin over the past week. During practice he was not able to overcome his groin problems and found himself going through ups-and-downs the entire week leading up to today's match up.
On the opposite sideline, Santana Moss is active for the Redskins. However, Moss won't start due to the fact that he will most likely not be close to 100% today.
Tennessee Titans At Houston Texans
With Vince Young out for the remainder of the 2010 NFL season, veteran Kerry Collins would normally be the expected starter in his absence for the Titans. Instead Rusty Smith is scheduled to make the start at quarterback for the Titans with Collins active but hurt. Collins has some problems with his ankle.
Jacksonville Jaguars At New York Giants
Despite injuries, Maurice Jones-Drew and Mike Sims-Walker both are set to start for the Jaguars. Jones-Drew, the Jaguars starting running back, was questionable because of an injury to his abdomen. Sims-Walker has had problems with his ankles, limiting his possible effectiveness in the passing game.
Shawn Andrews was released from the hospital and declared inactive by the Giants. Andrews went to the hospital with pains in his back which has plagued him since his years with the Philadelphia Eagles. Brandon Jacobs is starting in front of Ahmad Bradshaw at running back, mostly due to Bradshaw putting the ball on the ground six times so far this season.
Pittsburgh Steelers At Buffalo Bills
Shawne Merriman is out because he was placed on the injured reserve by the Bills. Merriman could not overcome his nagging ACL injury. Rookie C.J. Spiller once again been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Carolina Panthers At Cleveland Browns
The running back position is a week-to-week mystery for the Panthers. With DeAngelo Williams out for the seasons it's been back and forth between Mike Goodson and Jonathan Stewart for the starting role. Stewart suffered a concussion last week but will play, albeit in a back up role. Goodson will start.
WR Joshua Cribbs and TE Ben Watson are both active for the Browns.
Green Bay Packers At Atlanta Falcons
The Packers have had injury problems all season at the tight end position and today it didn't get much better for them. Donald Lee is inactive due to an injury that may have occurred during pre-game warm ups.
Sack machine DE John Abraham is active and will most likely start but be limited in his playing time for the Falcons.
Kansas City Chiefs At Seattle Seahawks
The Chiefs have decided to start undrafted rookie wide receiver Verran Tucker opposite Dwayne Bowe. Starting TE Tony Moeaki will start for the Chiefs after returning to practice after suffering a concussion.
WR Mike Williams is questionable, due to his foot, for the Seahawks.
Miami Dolphins At Oakland Raiders
Starting wide receiver Brandon Marshall did not make the trip with the Dolphins. Marshall was doubtful heading into today. Chad Henne is expected to return to action today and make the start at quarterback for the Dolphins.
Bruce Gronkowski is reportedly going to start at quarterback for the raiders.
St. Louis Rams At Denver Broncos
Other than the Spygate II scandal for the Broncos, not much news otherwise for either team.
Philadelphia Eagles At Chicago Bears
Starting CB Asante Samuel is inactive. Rookie DE Brandon Graham is set to start at DE for the Eagles. CB Ellis Hobbs is contemplating retirement after suffering a season ending injury to a disc in his neck for the second straight year, according to multiple sources.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers At Baltimore Ravens
TE Kellon Winslow is listed as probable for the Bucs.
WR Derrick Mason has said publicly that his fractured pinkie has changed his approach to the way that he catches passes this season.
San Diego Chargers At Indianapolis Colts - Sunday Night
TE Antonio Gates is still a game time decision for the Chargers.
WR Austin Collie was limited in practice for the Colts, still hurting from a concussion suffered against the Eagles. Fellow WR Reggie Wayne is questionable but practiced on Friday.
San Francisco 49ers At Arizona Cardinals
TE Vernon Davis and RB Frank Gore should be fine this week, especially against a banged-up Cardinals defense. WR Josh Morgan is also probable. For the Cards, WR Steve Breaston will be a game-time decision.
