The over/under for today's game between the New York Jets and Chicago Bears: 35.5. The actual total almost doubled that, as two top-ten defenses couldn't contain Matt Forte, Jay Cutler, and Mark Sanchez during two explosive quarters. In fact that over/under was almost met during the second quarter alone, when the Jets broke out for 24 and the Bears hung in with a touchdown of their own.
Forte ran for 169 total yards and WR Johnny Knox added 92 in receiving yardage, while RB Shonn Greene's 70 and TE Dustin Keller's 79 led New York. Cutler started sluggish, but bounced back to throw three touchdowns in the third quarter. Sanchez, meanwhile, threw the game-sealing interception after completing 10 of his first 11 to start the game.
The 10-5 Jets get the Buffalo Bills next week. The 11-4 Bears travel to Green Bay, needing a win to ensure a first-round bye.
